A HUGE ORDER FOR BEER LABELS.

Messrs Bass and Co., Limited, have recently placed with Messrs McCorquodale and Co., Limited, what is probably the largest contract ever given out for labels. It is for the supply of the wellknown red-triangle label which is provided for the bottlers who handle their pale ale. The order works out at rather more than 1,000,000 labels a day for each of the working days of the year. It is handled by a staff of some 80 workpeople who devote their whole time to this one contract. No other labels are printed in the factory, and complete set of duplicates of the plates, etc., is stored some miles away from the printing house, so that in case of fire work should not be stopped. — “London B.
