AUCKLAND BEATS TARANAKI BY 11 TO 8. The great event of the week has been the interprovincial games between Auckland and Taranaki. These were played at the Eden and Epsom greens, which were in fine order. Messrs. Holmes, Le Sieur, Stewart, and Patterson were in charge of the arrangements, which were admirably carried out. Mount Eden being as yet off the tram line, precluded any thought of a large attendance, but there was a fair attendance The results were as follows: — Men’s Singles. Wallace (T.) beat S.
