IN THE BACK YARD.

Cast Thursday at the Thames Magistrate’s Court, T. Gerraty, W. Cobb, and A. W. These cases have been held over pending the decision of the Supreme Court as to whether the back yard of a hotel was included in the licensed premises. Evidence was given by the police as to the defendants being seen leaving the premises by the back gate after hours on the night mentioned, and that when questioned no reasonable excuse was given by them. In each case a fine, of ss, and costs 7s, was inflicted.
