THE PAPAKURA MEETING.
The annual race meeting of the Papakura Racing Club will take place on the old course at Papakura next Saturday: Given fine weather there seems a bright prospect of this turning out a success. The course has been considerably improved since last year, and is in fine order. The nomination list is a lengthy one, and there seems a prospect of good fields, for although the acceptances are not to hand at the time of going to press, yet the handicaps appear to have met with the approval of owners. Six events will be run off, and a special train' will be put on to take spectators up to the course, returning after the last race. This will leave Auckland at 1.20, and arrive at Papakura at 2.20.
