VISITORS ACCOMMODATION.

Regarding the demand for accommodation for the exhibition as experienced so far, Mr Langdown, of the official accommodation bureau, in conversation with a reporter, said that the applications were coming in fast for beds in the first fortnight and for about Christmas time. Probably a great deal more beds had been booked than tfie bureau was aware of, but there was still room for a number of visitors to find comfortable resting places. Mr Langdown anticipates that the city will be quite full for the first week or two of the exhibition owing to other attractions at the same time, and for a short time at least it would take visitors all their time to be comfortable, but things would not be as bad as they would be without the bureau. The bureau had a reliable man at work to observe the houses of which information was received, so as to f ell whether thev were suitable, and whether the tariffs asked were fair for the quality and locality of the houses.
