WELLINGTON RACING CLUB’S SPRING MEETING.

The weather was fine and the attendance good for the opening day. The amount put through the totalisator, including the double machine, was £11,553, as against £9992 for the corresponding day of last year. The sum of £990 was invested on the double machine (Wellington Handicap and Flying Handicap), the winning combination (Clanchattan and Golden Gate) paying out £55 13s on each pound invested.
