HOTEL CONTROL.
Af er election day Mr. P. Burke, the president of the Licensed Victuallers’ Association of New Zealand, was interviewed in Christchurch. He said that the Trade quite recognised its responsibility, and intended to show that the confidence which the moderate electors had reposed in it would not be misplaced. The Trade intended to carry out the system of regulation which had been in force for a considerable time, and intended to deal severely with any hctelkeeper who broke the law.
