Although a drizzling rain fell nearly all night, the caretaker opened the grass track. Kola Nip was the first to open the ball with a mile gallop, alone, in Imin 48sec. Lady Annie got to the end of six furlongs, the last five in Imin 6sec. The mare is not partial to wet tracks. Dardanus held Pearl Necklet in a runaway five furlongs’ burst in Imin 6 2-ssec. Monoform and another assisted Delania over a fast-run mile in imin 47 2-ssec. The former pulled off after completing five furlongs.
