New Plymouth, March 2C. The annual registered meeting at Alanaia was held on the 22nd in fine weather. The attendance was fair. St. Bill wort the Flying by a length from Matama, with Firelight, who carried 81b over, third. The books quoted St. Bill at 2to 1 on. Kingswood, the Gipsy King—Puriri mare gelding, trained by J. McCracken, easily won the Hurdles from his two opponents. 2 to 1 on was the offer about the winner.
