BALLOON ASCENT.
On Monday afternoon Captain Chas. Lorraine, who has won the title of “The King of the Parachutists” will make an ascent from the Domain Cricket Ground. He will probably reach an altitude of 12,000 ft. His acrobatic performances on the parachute while descending are '■ in themselves a wonderful sight Splendid press notices of bis feats elsewhere leave no doubt of the genuine nature of his pretentions.
