Tuesday, May 26. The Lower Heathcote Racing Club held their meeting yesterday The weather was fine, but the attendance moderate. The following are the results :—

The Hack Hurdles, of 15 sovs., if miles, was won by Mr. J. Harris’ Ginger; Lyndora, 2 ; Glen, 3. Launcelot and Doric also ran. Dividend, ss. 6d. Time, 2min. 46sec. The Handicap Hurdle Race, 30 sovs., if miles resulted as follows :—Ganger, 1 . Chester Lad, 2 ; Tornado, 3. Three others ran. Dividend, £6 3s. 6d. The Queen’s Birthday Handicap, 45 sovs., 1 mile, resulted: —Regina, 1 ; Harkaway, 2. These were the only starters. Dividend, 9 s. The Maiden Plate, 15 sovs;, 1 mile, was won by Lightning ; Euphrosynel, 2 ; Lyndora, 3. Whistle, Diver, Lady Sockburn, and Corn Rose also ran. Dividend, £5 4s. Time, 1 min. secs. The Flying Handicap of 25 sovs., 6 furlongs, fell to Drift; Tornado, 2; Lady Colin, 3. These were the only starters. Dividend, £\ 19s 6d. Time, 1 min. secs. The Welter Handicap of 25 sovs., 1 mile, was won by Lightning, Stiver being the only other starter. Dividend, £1 3s. 6d. The Heathcote Handicap of 35 sovs., 7 furlongs, was won by Regina, Lady Sockburn second. Drift also ran. Dividend, £1 4s. 6d. Time, 1 min. 40 secs. In the Consolation, Chester Lad was first and Harkaway second. Dividend, £2 16s. 6d.

The weather for the second day of the Lower Heathcote races was fine, when the following trotting events came off:— Maiden Trot, 2 miles. —Humbug, 1 ; Uledjidie, 2; Madeline, 3. Dividend, £2O 16s. Time, 5 min. 5 sec. Handicap Pony Trot, 2 miles.—Dorothy 1 ; Vanity, 2 ; Farewell, 3. Dividend. £"s 18s. Handicap Maiden Trot (Harness). —Madeline, 1 ; Cass 2; Dick Turpin, 3. Dividend, £S 14s. 6d. Time, 8 min. 50 sec. Handicap Pony Trot, 2 miles.—Twilight, 1 ; Sambo, 1. Dividend, £1 19s. Time, 6 min. 32 secs. Mr. Mason takes Scots Grey, Palliser, and Moraine to Sydney to-morrow, to race or sell. Mr. F. Panetti leaves next week for Melbourne, taking Wairua and Radiation. The latter is a threc-year-old brother to Retina, and a capital jumper. George Laing goes with the horses.
