TorDAY we present our readers, with: aft illu?-: tration of the Junior Cup winners. Duripg the? season just concluded they have, playedj in twelve Cup matches, coming out of the ordeal with ten wins and only two t defeat?,, The,fol-, lowing are some particulars of the different players:— Pilkington (fufi-back), a good kick,, sure; collarer, and the best all round full back ip the; junior teams. R. Taylor (centre three-quarter)), a splendid] kick, but too slow in the open,. E, Taylor (wing three-quarte.rr),. very fa?t,_ sure collarer, and one of the; most usefuijmen, in the team. G- Hope (wing three-quarter), anpjhflr usefuj man, good collarer, fast dodgy runner, and! punts, well. A. Kilfoyle (three-quarter back), ayery. clever player. Is, fast, and kicks well. Rhodes (half-back), one of the be.st ; men iijj the team, A strong, fast runner, with good; fending powers.

.; R. McQonnell (half-back), the captain of the team. Very good at feinting, feeds his backs well, and a good honest player. Keegan (half-back), very fast, a good kick, and most unselfish player. T. Whiteside (half-back), very fast, can dodge, fend, kick and dribble well. J. Chaplin (forward), a hard grafter in the scrum, and very fast. J.Kilgour (forward), a good dribbler, fast in the open, but weak at kicking. W. Evans (forward), is another honest worker, clever kick, and dodgy runner. H. McHale (forward), one of the best forwards in the team, a hard worker in the scrum, and brilliant in the open. J. McMillan (forward), a hard grafter, especially good on the line out. M. Curtis (forward), a capital all round player, with a good deal of dash, and always on the bail. ‘ ■ ■ '' ’ ’ ' F. Gough (forward), a hard-working forward, with good staying powers, and especially useful in the scrum. W* Hawkins (forward), kicks and collars well, but rather slow in his work. W.. Austin (forward), a good dribbler, fast in the open, and very promising player.
