April 19. Golf and Tea. On Thursday a most enjoyable afternoon was spent at the Balmacewen links.

when Airs. Butterworth gave a competition and tea. The day was ideal for golf, and there were a large number of competitors. The four prize-winners were Miss Burt, Airs. Ward, Airs. Ogston and Aliss Cree '(England)'.

Airs Ulrich was the hostess at a small afternoon tea on Saturday. Amongst those present were Alesdames Westmaeott (Timaru), Ewen, Oldhant. Ogston, Royse, Alisses Kelsey, Graham. Alacassey, Ross (2). Raine. Personal. Airs Turnbull has returned from her trip to Afatakauui. her daughter. Airs Laidlaw, accompanied her. Aliss B. Alackenas left for Sydney by the Alaunganui on Wednesday. Airs P. L. Wright lias gone to Akaroa for a visit. Airs J. AL Ritchie and Dr and Airs Russell Ritchie left for Sydney by the Alaunganui on Wednesday. Aliss L. Brandon, who has been visiting Dunedin, returned to Wellington this week:

Airs Phillips (Sydney), who has been visiting her mother. Airs Hart, for two months, returned to Svdnev on Wednesday-.

Aliss F. Rattray returned from Christ church during the week.

Aliss Kelsey, who has been staying in Dunedin, has left for Auckland.

Airs Bush (Invercargill) is at present the guest of her sister, Airs Batchelor. Airs Donald (Christchurch) is in Dunedin, and is staying at Onslow House. Air and Airs G. Harris (Geraldine) spent a few days in Dunedin this week. Air and Airs J. Begg motored South last week, Airs Edgar Hazlett accompanying them.

Airs J. Stewart and Aliss Kitty Stewart left for Sydney by the Alaunganui this week.
