STRATFORD.
March 22. Work Parties. On Wednesday afternoon Mrs. Glasgow gave a charming little work party, everyone looking most industrious. Among those present were: Mrs. Richards, Mrs. Copping. Mrs. Budge, Mrs. Carey, Mrs. Uniaeke, Mrs. Robinson, Mrs. Abraham, Mrs. RennelJ, and others. On Tuesday afternoon more industrious people wended their way to Mrs. Budges, and spent a busy afternoon. I ho hostess received her guests in a becoming grey voile over glace; Airs. Carey was in black silk ; Mrs. W. 11. Young wore a smart white serge coat and skirt, black hat; Mrs. T. C. Fbokes, black amt white
striped silk frock, heliotrope toque; Mrs. C'arbery, mole eoat and skirt, bltick hat; Mrs. t’uiaeke, eiuiiiunon eoloured eorfnme trim-meet with black, hat en suite; Mrs-. Chiitchin, mote costume, hat with molveoloured wings: Mrs. Glasgow, green and. bhtek cheek over black sitting hat to match; Mrs. H. Abraham, black and white check coat and' skirt; Mrs. Robinson, grey costume, large black hat; Mrs. Rennelt, dark blue serge eoat and skirt; Mrs. Hogg (Midhirst), blue costume, ha* to match. Personal. Dr; and Mrs. Steven have returned after a nice holiday in the Sbuth. Mrs. E. F; Hemmingway (Patna.) has been spending a. few days here. Mr. arid Mrs. R. K Abraham are spending a week lit Stratford with Mrs. H. Abraham. Madame Bernard has left for Wellington. Miss Hughes, who has been visiting friends in Stratford, lef-t for Mrs. J. B. Richards- ha# had her mother staying vu a visit with. her.
