The New Plymouth Horticultural Society’s Show wa- a pronounced success. the ample floor space afforded by the Coronation Hall enabling the ex bib: tors to display -their blooms to the b<-t advantage. On account of the season there was a falling-off both in quality and quantity in the sweet pea <•’i--. and from a similar cause the competition in the vegetable section was n • ? •» go > 1 as formerly. I'he pot plants, however, eclipsed all previous exhibi tions. while some of the non-competitive exhibits were extreinvlx beautiful.
