October 13. Park Races. Saturday was quite a. perfect day ami a great crowd assembled for the Spring Park Race meeting. Cato, dull green tweed tailored suit, black hat ; Mrs. T. Balharry, goblin blue voile, blue hat. Theatre. The Theatre Royal has been packed each night for tho Plinuner-Dennistoir season. The frocks worn in the different plays are simply charming. Among the audience I noticed Mr. and Mrs. Wilfred Stead, Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Stead, Mrs. and Miss Kettle, Mrs. and Miss Wood, Mrs. W. Wood, Miss Joan Duff, Mrs. Wood (Wellington), Mr. and Mrs. F. Logan, Mr. and Mrs. Ivan Logan, Mr. M. Turnbull, Mr., Mrs. and Miss Lipscomb, Mr. and Mrs. AV. N. Barron, Mrs. Coleman, Mr. and Mrs. H. Coleman, Mr. and Mrs. Nantes, Mr., Mrs. and Miss J. Lusk, Mr. and Airs. Gould, Mr. and Mrs. Maunering, Mr. and Airs. Ewen Troutbeck, Air. G. P. Donnelly, Airs. F. Price, Airs. Abraham and Aliss Abraham, of Palmerston North, are in Napier for a visit. Airs. Basil Cotterill, Afangatahi, was in Napier for a few days last week. Airs. AVood (AVellington) is visiting in Hawke’s Bay. Air. and Airs. AVilfred Stead have taken up their residence at “ Crissoge.”
