September 21. A Small Dance. A small dance was given by Mrs T. Maude at her residence in Holly-road on Thursday evening. Air and Mrs Gerald Stead (Brackenfield) left Christchurch yesterday (Thursday) for Wellington. Aliss Keddell (Oamaru) is staying with Dr. and Airs Scott, C-hristchurcli Hospital. Mrs Henry Wood (Avonsidei has returned from “Tcpapa,” where she was the guest of Mrs Acton-Adams. The Misses Grigg ( Ixmgbeach) have returned from a visit to England.

Lady Clifford and the Aliases Clifford left Christchurch for Sydney last week. Airs Bowden (Christchurch) has returned from Geraldine.

Airs Wilder (Hawke’s Bay) has been staying with Airs Wigram, Park-terrace.

Aliss Pyne left Christchurch for Dun edin on Saturday.
