LADIES' GOLF.

AUCKLAND, Owing to the indisposition of the secretary, Miss Milly Cotter, and the inability of many of the members to play, the Captain’s v. Secretary’s match, arranged for last Thursday, wits postponed, and is to be played sometime late in September. On Thursday a ‘‘scramble” was arranged. A large nui'nber of players took part. The weather was perfect, and tho ground being much harder there was more run on the ball. Miss Roysiq Greig won with a net score of 112, handicap 29—83, and has now brought her - handicap down to 26. The monthly medal postponed from last Monday was played to-day in ideal .weather, and resulted as follows:—Miss Alison. 104—29—84; Miss Jessie Frater. 122—33- 89; Miss C. Draper, 120 31 — 89.
