St. Clair Championship. The St. Clair, club championship was concluded on Saturday, July 27. In the semi-finals, T. 11. Glendining beat J. Forsyth 6 and 5, while W. D. M’Carthy ■was 2 up and 1 to play on L. Jardine, securing a somewhat lucky win by mean's of a ten yard putt on tire seventeenth green. In his first round of tbo final, McCarthy .obtained a comfortable lead of 5 up, winning eventually by 8 up and 7 to play.
