HAWEHA, August 10. At the Opera House. On Thursday night the Opera House was filled to overflowing, when the ■Stratford Operatic Society staged the old and well-known opera “H.AI.-S. Pinafore.” The staging and the costumes were most art istic, and the various parts were well acted by the respective performers. A special feature of the per formance was the. excellent dancing of the sailors’ hornpipe by Air I l ’. 11. Wilkie and Aliss Rita Grubb—the latter a wee tot of not more than six summers. The first, prizes were won by 'Aliss Caplen and Air Hill, and the ‘'booby” by Miss Williamson and Air Brodie. Personal. Airs Littlejohn, of Wellington, is on a visit to her daughter.
