August IS. A Dance. A most enjoyable dance was given in the Brougham street Hall last Friday evening by Mrs. W. D. Hunt Club Ball. In the Theatre Royal last Wednesday evening the North Taranaki Hunt Club held their annual ball, and although the climatic conditions prevailing were so very unfavourable, there was a good at* tendance. Flags and bunting dra]»ed the dress circle, while the large pillars were decorated with saddles and bridles. Airs. AVood’s or. best ra provided excellent music. Personal. Airs. AL Fraser (New’ Plymouth) is on a visit to Auckland. Mrs. S. Allen, who has been visiting her mother, Airs. Newton King (New Plymouth), has returned to Dunedin. Airs. J. Mackay has returned after her pleasant trip to Wellington.
