Inter-club Tennis. On St. Patrick’s Day a number of the Marton Tennis Club came into Wanganui to play the Campbell-street Club. The local team were victorious. The day was terribly hot, but in spite of the heat some very hard games were fought. Mrs. Mackay wore a white embroidered muslin coat and skirt, white feather stole large black hat with silk and ospreys; Mrs. A. On Friday a number of members of the Wanganui Croquet Club went to Palmerston to play a match there. After a very interesting contest the games resulted in a draw. On the Tennis Courts. Mr. and Mrs. Lacy Peake, of Cambridge, who have been staying in Wanganui, have returned to their home. Mr. and Mrs. O. Lewis, of Wanganui, are staying in Wellington for a short time. Sir Robert and Lady' Lockhart, of Auckland, have been staying in Wanganui recently. Mrs. Addison, of Australia, who has been staying in Wanganui for some weeks, has returned to her home. Miss Fleet wood, of Waitotara, has lieen staying in Wanganui with friends. Miss Williams, of .Sydney, is the guest of Mrs. C. Cowper, in Wanganui.
