Afternoon Tea. Last Wednesday afternoon Mrs R. Cruickshank gave a most enjoyable kitehen tea in honour of Miss B. Webster, who is to be married to Mr F. Robertson early in January. Garden Party. A most delightful garden party was given at ‘‘Overdale,” Mr. 11. Cock’s most charming residence, last Thursday, to gather funds for the new tennis lawn just recently laid out in Pukekura Park. Although the day was showery, therefore causing the fascinating Xmas tree to be dismantled and the goods arranged in two stalls on the verandah, there were a number of keen buyers. Afternoon tea was served on the side verandah and lawn. Musical items were rendered. Amongst those present were: Mrs. R.
