ROTORUA.
November November 1 saw the opening of fchfi fishing season, aad quite * number anglers—local and otherwise —went out, and returned with good hauls. The Seddon memorial clock, which Is €o be erected in Rotorua, is expected to arrive from Home in a few weeks’ time. The coat of the dock will M between two and three hundred pounds, £3OO odd has been collected by tha townspeople, and thia, with the Government subsidy, will go to erect a suitable! tower for the clock. Personal. Mr. and Mrs. E. B. Dufaur, of Auckland, have been visiting Wairakei anti Rotorua. Miss Kissling and Miss Kenderdine, of Auckland, are staying at Wiiwera House. Captain O’Snllivau and Mrs. O'Sullivan, of Auckland, are here. Mr. Roulston, of Wellington, is visiting Rotorua. Mr. and Mrs. Wylde-Brown, of Christchurch, are here on a visit. Mr. and Mrs. Star re I, of Hastings, ard staying at Brent’s. Mr. and Mre. Butler, of Wellingtow, are staying at Grande Vue. Miss Isaacs, of Auckland, is staying out at Whakarewarewa. Mrs. L. Nathan, of Auckland, is visiting Rotorua. Mr. E. Gerard, of Auckland, is at present in Rotorua. Judge Jackson-Palmer is here on business. Miss Turner, who has been living In Tanranga for some time, has now taken up her residence in Rotorua again. Herl father, Captain A. C. Turner, will arrive! to join her later. Miss Elsie Flower has returned to Christchurch after a visit to her brother!
