SEDDON.
October 26. A Social. The Awatcre Cricket Club’s social, held last Friday, was a success, but owing to ■the warm night, the attendance was not so good as it otherwise would have been. The hall was most artistically decorated with trails of greenery, and the supper Itf nothing to be desired. A Concert. A very successful concert in aid of the school prize fund was held in Flaxbourne last week, and was largely attended. The ' ■hool children provided three good items. Vocal and instrumental numbers were also rendered by Misses Wallace, Saul, Scrint, Thomson and Jinkins. The floor was afterwards cleared for dancing, and the ladies provided an excellent slipper. Personal. Nurse Womack arrived in Seddon last weekAir. J. Murray (Woodbank) was in Bleuheim for a few days. Air. and Mrs. C. Murry (Wharnnui), who have ben spending a few days in Blenheim, have returned home. Air. E. Mcnlove has been on a short visit to Blenheim. Mr. R. Thomas spent • few days in town. Mr. W. Trolove (The Shades), has returned home. Mr. and Mrs. Van Aschc have returned to their home after a short holiday in Blenheim. Mr P. Coulter (Blanieh) has returned from Kaikoura,
