ROTORUA.

Sept. 30. Anglican Mission. There seems to have been room in tho Anglican mind lately for nothing but “ The Mission,” which has been so vigorously and ably prosecuteel by tho Rev. 11. A. Colville, chief missioncr, and the Her. E. H; Strong. Never have there been such attendances in St. Luke’s Church a*

during every service held by the Alissioners in the past ten days or so. A unique gathering in the way of a farewell to the Missioners was held in the Parish Hall last Tuesday evening, when a large number of the parishioners assembled to see the last of the visiting clergy. The hall was comfortably and prettily arranged, and a short musical programme was gone through. A pianoforte solo and an organ solo were contributed by Dr. Crooke, and ’cello solos by Mr. Paw sou. Songs were given by Mrs. R. Griffiths, Miss Al. Lundon, Miss W. Butt, and Mr. Dyson, and orchestral selections by the Mission Orchestra. The Rev. Colville gave a most heartily approved rendering of “ How I Heard Rubenstein.” A most excellent supper was supplied by the ladies.
