September 30. Music. Another successful performance of “Les Cloches” was given on Friday night to a packed house. Last year the combined choirs of Dannevirke gave a very excellent performance of the “Alessiah.” This year it has been decided to again attempt this well-known oratorio. Solo parts have not yet been allotted. The spinsters of Waitahora gave a most enjoyable dance last Friday night as a finale to the dancing season in that settlement. Sports. The annual meeting of the Tennis Club was held last week, and members are eagerly looking forward to get to work in earnest.
