SOUTH TARANAKI.
HAWERA, December 31. Personal. Mrs. and Miss Townsend (Wellington) are the guests of Mrs. R. F. Page. Mr. B. Reilly, who has been on a trip to the Old Country with Miss Reilly, returned to Hawera last Wednesday. Miss Reilly has gone to visit her brother in Dannevirke, and is expected back next week. Mr. H. Parkinson (Christchurch) is visiting relatives in Hawera. Mr. and Mrs. A. Gillies are visiting Dunedin. Mr. and Mrs. W. Hamilton are the guests of Mr. and Mrs. Caplen. Misses Brett and Douglas are spending a short holiday in Auckland. Mr. and Mrs. O’Callaghan have gone to Dunedin. Mr. O’Callaghan intends competing in the golf tournament. Miss Pratt has gone to Feilding for some weeks. Mr. and Mrs. M. Bell are visiting Auckland.
