Dunean, of Tawa Flat (formerly of Johnsonville), to Mr. John of Tawa Flat. The engagement of Miss Kitty Bridger, daughter of Mrs. W. B. Bridger, of Leekhampton Court, Dunedin, to Mr. Ray Johnstone, of Blackstone Hill, Otago Central, is announced. The engagement is announced of Miss Doris Russell, Spreydon, to Dr. John Guthrie, of Lyttelton. Announcement is made of the engagement of Lady Mary Lygon, who visited New Zealand as maid of honour to the Duchess of York, to Mr. Samuel Hoare, eldest son of Sir Samuel H. Hoare, of Sidestrand. Lady Mary Lygon is the youngest sister of Lord Beauchamp, and Mr. Hoare belongs to a great banking house. The engagement is announced of Miss Lily Bell, youngest daughter of Mr. E. B. Bell, of Auckland, to Mr. Gordon Smith, eldest son of Mr. W. H. Smith, of Palmerston North.
