Garrison Band Ball. Although very unfavourable weather, there was a very good attendance in the Theatre Royal last Thursday evening, it being the annual ball of the (Taranaki Garrison Band. Mrs A. George’s orchestra provided excellent music, and the supper table was beautifully decorated by Mrs and Miss Clarke. The ladies committee consisted Of the following: Mesdames Tisch (Mayoress), F. E. Clarke, Brookes, Each, E. M. Smith, A- Hoskin, Coleman, *L Koch, R. Jury, and Knight; Misses Kirkly, Hanna, Nicholls, Pearce and Buchanan. The extras were played by Mrs Cooke, Misses Kirkly. AL Clarke, D. Bedford, Brewster. Messrs E. Clarke (secretary), T. Humphries, W. Way, Joseph Horne, acted as MC.’s. Amongst those present were Mr H. Okey, M.P., •nd Mrs Okey, the Mayor and Mayoress (Mr and Mrs Tiscff), Major Malone, Chaplain, Major F. G. Evans, Captaia Okey, Captain Bellringer.
