Dear Bee. April 30. Last Saturday was a day of closing ami opening ceremonies. AT THE WHATAUPOKO TENNIS COURTS advantage* was taken by the President (Mr. Walter Barker) to distribute the different trophies won during the season, which he did in a neat speech. There was quite a large gathering on the lawns. The tables were most artistically decorated with dark crimson and bronze chrysanthemums, Mrs. W. Barker, Mrs. Seymour, and the Misses Barker having charge of the tea for the afternoon. THE GOLF SEASON opened last Saturday with a Mixed Foursome, but owing to the closing gathering

Miss Nolan, who has spent a long holiday in Cliristchiireh, returned with her younger sister to Gisborne last Saturday. Mi. and Mrs. Hill, of Gisborne, returned from a holiday in the South last Wednesday. ’ Mr. and Mrs. Pa lai ret (Gisborne) returned from thSeouth last week. Mrs. Kennedy returned to Gisborne fi en Wellington on Wednesday last. Miss Boulnois (Christchurch) is at j>re.ent. the guest of Mrs. G. Seymour (Gisborne).
