AUSTRALIAN JOCKEY CLUB’S AUTUMN MEETING.
(By Cable.—Press Association.—Copyright.) SY’DNEY, April 25. 1 he Australian Jockey Club brought their Autumn Meeting to a conclusion to-day at Randw.ick. The weather was fine, and there was a large attendance. The following are the details, of the racing:— The Rous Hanr.tcap of 3(M)sovs, for three-year-olds, one myp and three furlongs.— langaroa. 8.11, 1; Gnidniah, 7.7, 2: Maltine, 8.10, 3. Seven horses started. Won easily by four lengths. Time, 2.24 A. I lie Place Handicap of 500sovs, one mile and a-half.—Lord Fitzroy. 8.3. 1: XVairuna, 8.9, 2; Jack Smith, 7.7.' 3. Fifteen horses started. In a fine finish Lord Fitzroy won by a neck. Time, 2.36. The Second Steeplechase of 400sovs. about thiee miles.—Mr R. Morton’s b g Kuakt Lumper. 6yrs, by Mikado IL—Honey, 1. The other starters were Boomerang and Eclair. The first-named fell, while-“Eclair baulked. Kuala Lumper was thus left to canter home alone. Time. 8.271. i he A.J.( . Plate, of lOODsovs, three miles. — Poseidon, 9.0, 1: Tartan. 9.5, 2: Dyed Garments, 9.2, 3. The placed horses were the only starters. Passing the stand. Poseidon led Tartan by 10 lengths. Dyed Garments bringing up the rear. The same prijer was maintained until the bend was reached the
second time round, the pace only being a ranter. At the flye furlongs post Poseidon broke into a gallop, leading Tartan by two lengths. At the half-mile post nil the pa«*a was clapped on. biit Poseidon Was never overhauled, and he won easijy by three lengths. Tartan finished hnlf-a loqgth ahead of Dyed Garments. Time, 6.494. The Sceund Nursery Ha-ndlcnp. of. 300 sovs. six furlongs.—Parsre 1, Ale-2, Little Lad 3. Seventeen horses started** Won by a length and a half. Time, 1.15. .
The Final Handicap, of 300kovr. one milfl and u-quarter. The Castaway, 7.10, Ir.Rosfl Hoy? 7.6, 2; GrannQier.. 9.5. 3. Eighteen started. Won by a length. Time,
