The great event of the week Wet. been THE JOCKEY CLUB BALL, which wss really a most brilliant’affair and went off with a great deal l pUeelat. The big Town Hall was altered to reuemble a crimson and white' marquee, •nd underneath the gallery the floor space was carpeted witii- crimson, and banked vtith' tall palms**ferns* and rose and white camellias in jkits.
