GISBORNE.

Dear Bee, Nov. 24. The weather cleared up sufficiently last Saturday to allow THE POSTPONED FLORAL FETE to be held in the Domain. AH had worked hard to ensure the success of the gathering, and had the sun been shining brightly instead of showers of rain, it would have been a pretty sight. There were decorated bicycles, go-carlo, hoops, and all kinds of stalls, and a inerry-go-round, which proved very popular with the children. Last Thursday afternoon the Misses Bradley were AT HOME to a number of their friends. The lovely garden was looking its best, and as it was a glorious day. afternoon tei was .served out under the wide spreading old trees. The lawns were perfect, anti with tennis, croquet and music, we spent a delightful afternoon. The Misses Bradley received their guests in dainty white frocks; Mrs. Smith, white embroidered muslin. Those present were: — Mrs Rees (2), Bennett.Carmichael,Huntley Eliott. (Wellington). Porter, Wachsmann, Eliott, Parker, Morrison, Mann. Maclean, Harney. Misses Reynolds, Waehsmann, Foster, Messrs. Bradley, Nolan, Grant. Barron, Bur.ce, Gould-

smith, Kees. White.
