ROAD RACE AT NEW PLYMOUTH
NEW PLYMOUTH, Monday
Considerable interest was shown last week Iu the cycling race from New Plymouth to Waitara and back, organised by the local cycling firms. The winner. McPhail, of Elthaiii, did the journey tn 67 minutes, and was closely followed by Andresen (Tariki) 2, ami Skipper 3. 'Then followed Blanchett, Scott, J. Kibby, A. Kibby, Drake, Chong, and Rowan. McPhail, besides his first prize of £3, takes the gold medal awarded for fastest lime, and Scott (67m ssec) receives the silver medal for fastest time unplaced. Andresen and Skipper receive £1 and 10/ respectively.
