END OF THE SEASON. NORTH SHORia WIN THE SECOND GRADE CHA dPION'SHIP. The cricket season was brought to a conclusion on Saturday afternoon, North Shore winning the championship in the second grade (A section) from Wanderers after a very exciting finish. c The Wanderers v. North Shore match was the play on for the championship of the “A” Section of the second grade, which produced one of the finest finishes ever seen nt Devol:port. In their second innings Wanderers were all ont for 45. With only an hour to go, and 92 to get to win, the chances of North Shore did not-look bright. Warren and Wynyard opened, and hit about them, putting on 56 before Warren left. From this point on the Shore men were virtually playing “tip an 1 run,'’ and f, nr men were run out in trying to get the ’. amainlug 36, the excitement being very intense. The men followed quickly, and just on time the last wicket fell, with three run i to the good. The fielding was excellent on !>.,:h sides. Corner's catch with which he cusmlssed Pritchard being an exceptionally fine effort.
