OBITUARY.
The many friends of Dr. Leggatt will regret to learn of his death, which occurred at his residence. Hardy-street. Nelson, ou Thursday evening, after a long illness. He was in practice in Nelson for about eighteen years, and before that was in the Indian medical service. Some years ago Dr. Leggatt had the misfortune to lose one of his bauds in a gun accident. Before that he was captain for several years of the “H" Batter), and he took an active interest in volunteers matters. He leaves a widow, four sons, all in the Eastern Extension Cable Company, the eldest being at present in Nelson on furlough. and two daughters. Very much sympathy is felt with Mrs Leggatt and her family in their sad l»e--reavement. The funeral took place on Saturday afternoon, and was very largely attended.
