ORANGE BLOSSOMS
REICHEL—SCANLOX. The marriage of Mr L. Reichel, chief Government electrician in Wellington. to Miss Agnes Scanlon, was celebrated at the Buckle-street Chore), Wellington, on January 6th. The bride, who was given away by her father, Mr D. Scanlon, wellknown as one of Wellington's oldest and most respected inhabitants, wore a gown of rich white silk and the customary wreath and veil. She was attended by her sisters and Miss K. Healy as bridesmaids, who received gold brooches as gifts from the bridegroom. Mr Fritz Reichel was best man. The bridegroom presented the bride with a long gold chain and gold cross. The honeymoon is to be spent in the north.
RAWSON—MARSHALL.
At St. Peter's Church. Wellington, on January 6th a wedding was solemnised between Miss Letty Marshall. daughter of Captain J. Taylor Marshall, to Mr Walter E. Marshall. solicitor, son of the late Dr. Rawson, of New Plymouth. The bride, who wore a dainty gown of white tucked silk trimmed with beautiful lace, was attended by her two sisters. Misses Mary and Ivy Marshall, wearing pretty white muslin dresses inserted with lace, and carrying shower bouquets of yellow flowers. The Rev. W. C. Waters officiated and Mr Charles Reeves acted as best man.

A wedding was celebrated on New Year's Day at St. Paul's pro-Cathe-dral. Wellington, between Mr James Quarrie. of Haleombe. Rangitikei, and Miss Jessie May Johnson, of Wellington. The bride. who was given away by her father, Mr Chas. J.
lohnMx, wore a drywa of white mu*lia daintily tuekefl Md inserted, with a fichu edffed with Valenciennes. Her veil wan of over a coronet of orange blossom*, and she carried a bouquet of native clematis. There were three" bridesmaids— Mis»es Annie and Flora Johnson, sisters of the bride, amd Mina tons Cameron, niece of the bridegroom—all dressed alike lu white silk dreases and Gainsborough hats, and carrying bouquets of crimson flowers. The bridegroom presented each with a gold brooch. Mf John Quarrie acted as best man. After a reception at the residence of the bride's parents. Mr and Mrs Quarrie left by train for Felldhlg.
PHARAZYN—JOHNSTON.
On Wednesday, January Sth, st St. Bridget's (R.C.) Church, Feilding. a marriage was solemnised between Mr Godfrey Pbarazy n. of AorangL son of Mrs W. Pharazyn. “Seacroft," Wellington, and Miss Ella Johnston, youngest daughter of Hon. W. Johnston, of Awahurl. The bride, who was given away by her father, wore a beautiful dress of white Roman satin, embroidered with pearls and draped with real lace. She was attended by three bridesmsids. Miss Marian Pharazyn. sister of the bridegroom, and little Misses Baldwin and Turnbull, nieces of the bride, wearing dainty white musliu frocks, much trimmed with lace and insertion. After the ceremony a large recep« tion was held at "Highden," the residence of the bride's parents, at- Awahuri. Mrs Walter Johnston received in a dress of cream brocade, with touches of black, and a picture hat of black with ostrich feathers; Mrs Godfrey Pharazyu's going-away dress was of cream voile, with a smart hat of the same hue. The ceremony was performed by Rev. Father O'Meara.
