Dear Bee, November 29. Canon Webb, the popular incumbent <»f t he, Ormond\ille Anglican Church, received an enthusiastic welcome from residents in the township on his return from Gisborne to. Ormondville. The occasion was marked by an entertainment in the Ormondville Town Hall on the 20th inst. Visitors from al! parts of the district were present. Musical items were much appreciated by the guests, and Canon Webb and his family received an ovation. 'l’he Wai paw a Hall was the scene, on the 22nd inst., of the annual con- « it in aid of the Waipawa School. It was very numerously attended, and many visitors from far ami near were present. 'The programme of entertainment included two songs, admirably rendered by Miss I). Fames, and mm 1. appreciated by the audience; a duet by lhe Misses Marjorie Corskie ami Doris .lull, and a song, “Caller Herrin,” in character, by Miss Af. Mitchell. Master G. Williams sang “Jolly

Jack,” Mr. N. Bingham recited, and the Misses D. Bone, C. Britten, B. Lee. J’. Jull one D. Rathbone also performed. The audience was most appreciative, and there were some enthusiastic encores. DOROTHY.
