Dear Bee. July 5. The first concert given by the 'Ladies’ Musical Society, under the baton of Mrs Levi, was held last Wednesday night- before a fashionable and appreciative audience. Amongst those present were Sir A. and Lady Douglas, the latter in grey satin, trimmed ■with steel passementerie; Miss Arkwright, pink: Miss Moore (Wanganui), black satin; Miss A. Brandon, heliotrope blouse; the Misses Eliott, pretty bright pink blouses; Miss Dyer, square-cut blouse in green and purple; Mesdames Malcome Ross, Kennedy, Amelius Smith. Brandon. Misses Haise, and many others, and a great, many gentlemen. The hall was packed, many people standing.
