Dear Bee, October 7. Another very successful meeting of the LADIES' SAVAGE CLUB was held on Monday evening at Mrs Roger Kingdon’s residence. •The Wood.’ A large number of members were present, and all thoroughly enjoyed themselves. Miss Huddleston was the chairwoman for the evening, and provided an excellent programme, the first item of which was a pianoforte solo by Miss v\ ep oBowen. After that came a clever little farce, entitled * First Aid to the Injured,’ which was capitally acted by the Misses Gnbben, Sealy. Fell, Heaps. A. Catley. and Leggatt. Songs were sung by Mrs Percy Adams and Miss Kathleen Fell, also a duet by the same two ladies, which was encored. Miss W. Hunter-Brown read a selection from the now well-known novel. * Cleg Kelly, which was. of course, much appreciated. Miss Huddleston was robed in a pretty gown of Nil-green veiling, sleeves and finishings of velvet of a much darker shade; Mrs Roger Kingdom handsome blaca merveilleux skirt, evening bodice of Trilby silk crepon: Mrs Percy Adams, black watered silk evening gown with bodice of pink veiled with black Brussels net; Mrs J. Sharp, cream silk blouse with passementerie trimmings, black silk skirt; Mrs E. F. W. Cooke, bodice of dome blue satin veiled with black Brussels net. black skirt; Mrs Kissling. pink and grey shot blouse trimmed with pink silk, black skirt; Mrs Tribe, pietty pink muslin blouse with yoke of cream lace, skirt of black merveilleux ; Mrs A. A. Grace, b.ack silk with white satin sleeves; Miss Levien looked well in pink satin, the bodice being trimmed with black chiffon ; Miss . Hunter-Brown, becoming gown of seal brown velvet with ecru lace on bodice; Miss Hunter-Brown, black merveilleux with full sleeves of orange satin; Miss K. Fell, cream crepon ; Miss hell (Picton), black velvet finished with frills of white net; Miss Perrin, white crepon evening dress; Miss Webb-Bowen also wore white crepon: Miae M. Cock, pretty cream silk blouse trimmed with lace, black skirt: Miss Pitt, grey silk lustre with black chiffon on bodice: the Misses Watt, G. Jones, Oldham, Turner, Nina Jones, Catley, etc , . .. , The Rev. Haskett Smith has given several most interesting and instructive LECTURES in the Theatre Royal during the last week. The audiences were not as large as they might have been, but those who were present cannot speak too highly in favour of this gifted speaker.
