Dear Bee, December 14. The few fine days have brought some pretty costumes to light lately, despite intermediate wet days. Among those worn at the OPENING OF THE CARISBROOK TENNIS were Mrs Rose in blue braided serge : Mrs Stock, black serge ; Mrs Pym. blue and white cotton ; Miss Mills, navy bluedres- with zouave, pink bodice and sleeves; Mrs Oat way. fawn-coloured dress with lace trimming, hat with grey ostrich tips; Miss R. Neill, dress of black and white check with capesand narrow rows of black velvet, yellow silk vest; Miss G. Roberts, black and pink ; Miss Tui Stephenson, rainbow cotton dress, green floral hat: Mrs Kennedy, a costume of heliotrope and pink shot cloth : Miss E. Gilkison. blue and white cotton : Miss A. Cargill, blue braided serge ; Mrs Garrat. black serge costume, long jacket opening over a vest of heliotrope and white : Mrs Mac Master black cloth, long jacket fastened with a belt, pink vest, floral hat.
