PARISIAN AFTERNOON TOILETTE.

The illustration shows a pretty costume for general afternoon wear, in rose-pink cashmere trimmed with black ribbon, either velvet or moire ; we recommend the former as less common. It is run on both sides to the end of the various distances, then turned under, ami left in a loose loop, those on the skirt being of broader ribbon than the

bodice. Round the shoulders, the ribbon is arranged in loose loops standing up. An elegant chapeau to wear with this gown is made of blaek laire, the broad brim being accordion-kilted, and trimmed fully at the back and round the front with lace, pink poppies, and loops and ends of black ribbon velvet.
