Witness : ‘ Please, Y’r Honor, can a man commit perjury by distorting the truth as well as by telling an untruth ?’ Judge : ‘Certainly.’ Witness : ‘ Can a man commit perjury by insinuations intended to mislead the jury ?’ Judge: ‘Certainly.’ Witness : ‘ Well, Judge, if you’ll put that lawyer under oath we’ll soon have him in the Penitentiary.’
