Miss M. Walshe has been appointed District Nurse at Aitutaki, Cook Island Group, and left to take up her appointment by the s.s. Maungonui on Sept. 17.

Miss H. M. La Fontaine, who recently returned from the Cook Island Group, where she has been nursing for the past six years, has accepted a position as matron of Dr. MaunselPs private hospital, Manaia, and has left Wellington to take up her duties there.

Miss Wright and Miss Greenwood have been appointed sisters on the Wellington Hospital staff.

Miss Braidwood has been appointed matron of the Grey River Hospital.

Miss K. I. Reid has been appointed relieving nurse under the Health Department.

Miss S. Hetherington, for many years assistant matron at Wellington Hospital, has been appointed matron of the Lower Cashmere Hills Sanatorium, Christchurch.

Miss L. J. Jeffery, trained at Dunedin Hospital and at the Women's Hospital, Melbourne, who has been school nurse m Dunedin for several years, has now been appointed Nurse Inspector of Hospitals and Midwives at Dunedin.

Miss Leila Gray, trained at Wellington Hospital and the Alexandra Home, Wellington, has been appointed school nurse m the Nelson District.

Miss Kathleen Walsh, who went to Dublin for her midwifery training m 1922, and who took a post-graduate course at St. Thomas's Hospital, London has now accepted a position of two years' duration under the Colonial Nursing Association at Newfoundland.

Miss Lena M. Macdonald has been appointed sister m charge of the Opunake Cottage Hospital.
