Engagements and Marriages

The engagement is announced of Miss M. McNicol, Matron, Apia Hospital, Samoa, to Mr. Ireson Jones, formerly of Wanganui, and now of Samoa.

The engagement is also announced of Miss Eva Corbett, of Hazebrouck Hospital Marton, to Mr. M. Theed. Mr. Theed was recently appointed county engineer at Dannevirke.

Miss Margaret Cox, also of Hazebrouck Hospital, Marton, is engaged to Mr. Grant Simpson, of Hunterville, and grandson of the late Hon. E. K. Simpson.

Miss E. M. A. Whyte, trained at Hawera Hospital and at St. Helens Hospital. AVcllington, is now Mrs. Bourke, and is living m New Plymouth.

Miss Dora Gibson resigned her position as sister on the staff of the Stratford Hospital m January last, and was married on April 9, at Te Henui Church, New Plymouth, to Mr. T. G. Mitchell, of Oeo Road, Taranaki, and late of Patea.

Nurse McSweeney has given up nursing, and is shortly to be married to Dr. Edward Brown, Edendale.

Nurse May Hodge, registered midAvife, of Hastings, is now married to Mr. Boyle, of Havelock North, where she will m future reside.

One June 18, at the English Church. Vereeniging, South Africa, by the Rev. Mr. Boyd, Captain Arthur E. Clarke (late R.F.A.), of Meyertown, Transvaal, to Agnes Mary Paterson (late sister, N.Z.A.N.S.), of Johannesburg, South Africa.

Nurse M. Wilson was to be married early m October to Mr. J. Hillyer, of North-east Harbour, Dunedin.
