:\ What is a ''saline" (saline fluid) ? Give its uses, and describe briefly you 1 ' method of giving a rectal saline. 3. Describe fully both the general and local preparation of a patient for hysterectomy. 4. What would you do for the following post-operative conditions ? — {a.) Shock. (6.) Vomiting, (c.) Thirst. (d.) Distension. 5. Name, giving doses and indication for use, six of the most important drugs used hypodermically after operations. 6. When may the operation for trephining the skull be required ? What instruments would the surgeon need, and how is the head prepared beforehand ?
