EjggT All Public Notifications which appear in this Gazette, with any Official Signature are to be considered as Official Communications made to those persons to whom they may relate and are to be obeyed accordingly.

1. Communications. —All official communications from any district or station in connection with this department, whether by telegraph or otherwise, should be forwarded direct to the Commissioner of Police, Christchurch.

2. Police Gazette. Communications for this Gazette should be addressed to the Commissioner of Police, prepaid ; they must be of Police interest, or no notice will be taken of them. Officers in charge of stations are requested to report to the Commissioner of Police every instance of the non-delivery of the Gazette, and to suggest from time to time such alterations in the addresses and in the mode of transmission as may be considered necessary.

3. Warrants. — Whenever it is desired that any individual, whose name is given, shall be apprehended, it should be stated in the advertisement for the Gazette whether or not a warrant has been issued for the apprehension of the Offender. When a ivarrant has not been issued in the first instance, any subsequent report announcing the issue of a warrant should refer to it in the Police Gazette
