Inquests.

An Inquest was held at the Woolds Station, McKenzie Country, on the 17th of August, 1870, on the body of James Helding, aged 55 years, by T. A. Clowes, Esq., Coroner. Verdict —Injuries received through a fall from a horse.

On the Bth ultimo an inquest was held at Killinchy, Leeston District, before W. B C. Christy, Esq. Coroner, on the body of Mary Isabella Allen, a child of 1 year and 9 months, who met with her death through having eaten the heads of several lucifer matches. Verdict—Accidental poisoning.

An Inquest was held at the Glentanner Eun, McKenzie Country, on the Bth September, 1870, on the body of John Brown, aged 26. Verdict—Found dead.

An Inquest was held at the Ashley Eiver on the 10th ultimo, by M. Morris, Esq., Coroner, on the body of Patrick Croskilly, aged 29 years. Verdict—Accidental drowning.

An Inquest was held at the Orari on the 12th ultimo, by B. Wool combe, Esq., Coroner, on the body of William Stranks, aged 42 years. Verdict—Died from disease of the heart.

An Inquest was held at Templeton on the 14th ultimo, by J. W. S. Coward, Esq, Coroner, on the body of James Innes, aged 28 years. Verdict—Accidental death.

An Inquest was held at the Waitoi Flat on the 26th ultimo, on the body of Elizabeth Akroyd, aged 39 Verdict—Natural causes.

An Inquest was held at Christchurch on the 27th ultimo, by J. W S. Coward, Esq, Coroner, on the of an unbaptised illegitimate male child of William Nobbs and Elizabeth Ellen. Verdict— causes.

Av Inquest was held at Pareora Flat, T.maru District by B. Woolcombe, Esq., Coroner on the 28th ultimo, on the body of James Bell aged 60, a farmer, who died on the 26th of disease of the lungs. Yerdiet accordingly.
