Stolen.

Stolen from the Store of Messrs. Cobb and Sawtell, at noon on the 26th ultimo, two new corn sacks, since recovered. A man of the following description was seen making away with the property, and on being called by the Storeman he dropped the bags and made off. About 45 years of age, sft. 4in. high, stout build, dark hair and whiskers, wore a dark coat and cap.

Stolen, on the night of the 29th ultimo, from John ISTevin, at the Gfeorge and Dragon Hotel, Templeton, a pair of watertight boots, slightly worn. Two men who slept in the Hotel on the night in question are suspected. Descriptions given.—First man : about 30 years, sft. Bin. high, stout build, dark complexion, dark hair and moustache ; dressed in moleskin trousers, old black coat, and dirty felt hat. Second man : about 30 years, sft. 9in. high, stout build, dark complexion, black hair and moustache; dressed in moleskin trousers, old black coat, and dirty white felt hat. The lost property can be identified, as also the suspected men.
